Facility

dscn0116J.P. Training is located in the original cinder block barn at Portola Farms, one of the finest hunter/jumper facilities in the Bay Area. The facility includes two large, well-maintained outdoor jumping arenas and two large covered arenas, one of which is lighted. Viewing areas are available around each arena, making it easy to relax and enjoy the horse experience even when not riding.

Although some paddocks with shelters are available most horses are stabled in 12′ x 12′ rubber matted stalls. The stalls are cleaned daily and are bedded with high quality shavings. To ensure maximum comfort for the horses barns are equipped with an automatic overhead fly spray system. Spacious barn aisles have concrete floors with plenty of room for tack boxes. Feed and tack rooms are located in the same area.

Wash racks have hot water and cross-tie bays and turnout facilities are available for all horses. Each stall has an automatic waterer and the horses are fed twice a day, with additional lunchtime feeding available.
